Interfaces
The Design Engineering Magazine
Make Interfaces Feel Great
Great interfaces rarely come from a single thing. It's usually a collection of small things that compound into a great experience.
Designing interfaces that feel natural and intuitive
Great design is invisible. It guides users without them ever noticing.
Designing interfaces that feel natural and intuitive
Great design is invisible. It guides users without them ever noticing.
In the age of AI, when anyone can ship anything in a matter of minutes, the real differentiators are quality and intention. The question is no longer if you can build something, but what you're building and if you can build it well.
This magazine is for designers, engineers, design engineers, product managers, and anyone else interested in building great interfaces.
We'll cover design engineering topics from beginner to advanced across animation, typography, layout, color, and everything that shapes what makes a great interface.
About Interfaces
This is not a course. There are plenty of great ones out there already, this is a magazine. What does that mean? It means that I'll be publishing in-depth articles about the intersection of design and engineering.

“The level of craft in every article is extraordinary. Interfaces is the publication I wish existed when I started designing for the web.”
Who Am I?
I'm Jakub, a founding design engineer at Interfere. I write articles about a variety of topics related to design engineering on my website and I run oklch.fyi, a tool about OKLCH colors.
I care deeply about craft and quality, and I like to make people feel something through my work. I'm obsessed with details and I often spend unreasonable amounts of time on them.
Previously, I worked at OpenSea and a few other companies. You can reach me at @jakubkrehel and via email or see my code on GitHub.
